Is Associate Professor in Physical Geography at the University of Pisa. He obtained a Master’s degree in Geological Sciences and a Ph.D. in Earth Sciences from the University of Genoa. From 2013 to 2016, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at CNRS–CEREGE, Aix-Marseille University (France), and during 2017–2018 he held the position of Lecturer at the School of Life and Environmental Sciences, University of Exeter (United Kingdom). Dr. Vacchi’s research interests cover a broad spectrum of geomorphology and paleoclimatology, with a particular focus on coastal environments. Since 2010, he has authored or co-authored more than 90 scientific papers in international journals. His research ranges from the study of Quaternary sea-level changes and the development of models for coastal zone management.
